An innovative builder/architect from Austin Texas calld Moontower has been experimenting with cladding buildings with expanded cork and in this video they explain how the applied the expanded cork and as well as the interesting work they did cutting it to make some interesting design elements – in this case they used shiplap expanded cork boards to hide insulation screws to hold the cork in place. They also look at the pros and cons of using cork both as an insulation material and for cladding. It is a really useful video to watch if you want to see some practical advice about what it is like to work with expanded cork. It is also great to see an architect who has really done his research into the properties of expanded cork and shares our passion for it!
