Our trade association, APCOR, generally produces a video every year to promote cork. APCOR represents all the major cork suppliers in Portugal and does a decent job in standing up for the sector’s interests – cork is an extremely important industry for the Portuguese economy. Portugal is by far the world’s largest supplier of cork, supplying around 65% of the worlds cork, which was worth €1.1 billion in 2021.
In this case APCOR have gone for something lighthearted, but with a serious message about the technical properties and environmental benefits of cork. Here at CorkLink we of course love cork too, so sit back and learn all about ‘corkology’…
